Virtual Piano guide

The virtual piano is a quick playable keyboard for finding notes, checking harmony, or sketching a melody without another app.

Your input is processed in the current browser tab and is not sent to the application server.

How to use it

Polyphonic playing

Multiple notes can sound at once from separate pointers or overlapping computer-key presses.

Keyboard map

A–; follows the white and black keys chromatically. On-screen keys beyond that range remain playable by touch or pointer.

Synth sounds

Sine is pure, triangle is mellow, square is hollow, and sawtooth is bright.

Practical tips for better results

  • Try triangle at a moderate volume for a soft keyboard-like sound.
  • On a touchscreen, rotate to landscape if you want wider keys.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Virtual Piano upload my input?

No. The work happens locally in the current browser tab. Closing or refreshing the page clears temporary input unless you save the result yourself.

Can results differ in another browser or device?

They can. Browser engines, display settings, hardware capabilities, and supported file formats may affect the final result.
