Use this online touchscreen test to inspect the digitizer across the entire display, reveal repeatable dead areas or ghost touches, and measure how many fingers the browser can track at the same time.

Add more fingers one at a time and watch each get its own color.
Sweep slowly across the whole surface, especially the edges and corners.
Look for gaps in your lines — those are areas the panel did not register.
Touch and drag anywhere in the large pad. Each pointer draws a separate colored path, and normal page panning is disabled inside the pad so your movement can be recorded accurately.
A circle marks each active contact and its path shows where it moved. A repeatable break across several slow passes suggests the digitizer stopped reporting that area.
When hardware and browser support them, each active contact reports pressure plus width and height. Many capacitive screens provide approximate values, and some devices expose none.

This is navigator.maxTouchPoints, the capability claimed by the device through the browser. It can differ from Most at once because of hardware, driver, browser, or operating-system limits.
Shows touch, pen, or mouse for the active contact. A stylus may be reported as pen, while some drivers deliberately expose trackpads or pens as mouse input.
Clear drawing removes all paths and resets the measured session counters, giving you a clean surface for a second pass along the edges, corners, or a suspicious area.
Each contact gets a colored circle showing its position and, where the device reports it, its pressure and contact size. Lines break where the panel stops reporting, which is how a dead zone shows up.
The device reports the maximum number of simultaneous touches it supports. Most phones handle five or ten; some touchscreen monitors handle fewer.
The pad tracks any pointer, so a mouse or stylus also draws. On a device with no touchscreen the reported maximum is zero.
A consistent gap in the same place across several attempts points to a dead zone in the digitizer. Try removing any case or screen protector first, since both can cause the same symptom.
Some browsers and some panels cap the number of simultaneous contacts. The reported maximum shown here is what the device tells the browser it supports.
That is a ghost touch. It is most often caused by a faulty charger, a damaged digitizer, or moisture on the screen.
